Singer

I have been singing professionally since 1972. While attending Rider College in Lawrenceville, New Jersey, I joined an oldies theatrical group called the Bob Shoo Bops ( click on Biography tab at the top of this page for more info about the Bob Shoo Bops). From 1980 to 2003, I was the frontman for a 5 member band I formed called First Class Act. We played for all types of events from oldies concerts for over 10,000 people to parties, weddings and reunions. In 2003, I moved to Brooksville Florida and have been a solo performer as a professional singer, DJ and emcee for thousands of events. I sing a variety of songs from the 1930’s to the 1980’s, with the majority of the songs from the 1950’s to the 1970’s. I not only have a passion for singing, but also a curiosity about the history of some of the songs that I sing. I am constantly reading about who sang the song, what year it was released, who the song writer was and what may have inspired them to write the song. I am pleasantly surprised to receive positive feedback about my performances as a singer as well as a music historian. The type of songs that I sing are from the following genre and artists: Doo Wop, Rock and Roll, Rockabilly, Standards and Crooners, Rhythm and Blues, Country, and Beach Music. Some of the Doo Wop artists I sing are Dion and the Belmonts, The Platters, The Crests, The Skyliners, The Duprees and Jay and the Americans. Some examples of Rock and Roll artists are Roy Orbison, Chubby Checker, Chuck Berry and the Drifters. Some Rockabilly artists I sing are Elvis Presley, Buddy Holly, The Everly Brothers, Carl Perkins and Jerry Lee Lewis. Some of the Crooners I sing are Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Tony Bennett, Paul Anka and Nat King Cole. Some of the Rhythm and Blues and Motown artists I sing are Fats Domino, Sam Cooke, Ray Charles, Big Joe Turner, Lloyd Price and The Temptations. Some examples of Country artists I sing are Hank Williams, Marty Robbins, Willie Nelson, Lee Greenwood, Eddie Albert, Ray Price and the Oak Ridge Boys. The Beach Music artists I sing are the Beach Boys and Jimmy Buffett. Some of the Classic Rock artists I sing are the Eagles, Bob Seger, Creedence Clearwater Revival (CCR), Kansas and Bachman Turner Overdrive (BTO).
